Africa's anti poaching heroes.

So many stories about wildlife are doom and gloom. This many species are endangered, this species face extinction, these creatures are being mistreated and so on. While these posts are very important in terms of garnering awareness for certain causes, however this is an appreciation post. For the men and women of Africa's various anti-poaching units who patrol night and day to protect some of our planets most majestic, but also most at risk creatures. These people deserve more attention and praise. Below are just a small number of the heroes protecting Africa's wildlife on behalf of the entire planet.

Kenya's anti poaching brigade

Patrolling across all of Kenya covering the vast plains of the country and its various national parks these heroes protect some of the most at risk species from hunters such as Elephants and Rhinos.

Northern rangelands anti poaching unit

This squad patrols the northern rangelands of north Kenya and Ethiopia. This region contains some of the most vast savannas in all of Africa protecting all creatures in this region from poaching.

The black mambas

The black mambas are an all female anti-poaching unit based in South Africa. They operate mainly on a voluntary basis and they protect big game such as Lions, giraffes and rhinos.

The big life anti-poaching squad

The big life anti-poaching squad operate in the Amboseli national park on the border between Kenya and Tanzania. They are funded by big life a private organization and they protect all animals within the parks boundaries.

The south African anti poaching squad

Patrolling across South Africa and its varies safari's and national parks this squad protects any time of big game from illegal poaching.

These are just some of the brave men and women who are patrolling the grasslands, savanna's and national parks of Africa in order to protect the wildlife we all adore so much. Massive respect and a thank you do not suffice for these heroes.
