Dreamworld Australia is a popular theme park on the Gold coast in Queensland Australia. The park is one of the regions most prosperous tourist attractions. They have one area of the theme park known as 'tiger island'. Tiger island is a part of the park where visitors can go and observe tigers as they would in a zoo. They also have various other activities with the tiger's you can walk a tiger cub, pet the tigers, have photos taken with them and even hold a tiger cub. Visitors pay extra for these activities of course. The tigers are all well treated and happy according to Dreamworld. The organization even has its own wildlife fund. With the organization seeming like a forward thinking, socially conscious company.

Not from the Tigers point of view. Many photos and videos have emerged from the park of tigers being dragged around on chains, being clawed at by each and every passer by. Being paraded out in front of crowds for them to take pictures and show the world how they had such fun with a real life tiger!

The tigers are routinely walked around the park, paraded in front of all for the amusement of guests. The tigers are treated incredibly well according to the trainers at the park, well the tiger above seems to be having a fantastic time. A number of other pictures similar to the one above were posted to the parks twitter account before being promptly removed. Meaning that perhaps Dreamworld are aware that these creatures are being mistreated.

The park also offer people the chance to have a photo taken with a tiger. Such a lovely idea however the tigers are being forced to sit in the hot Australian sun for hours on end, chained up for the amusement of visitors.

The tiger looks like he is having a lovely time. This is a full time job for these tigers acting as little play things for guests to gleam whatever amusement they desire from.

What Dreamworld are doing is complete exploitation of a wild animal. Chaining them up and using them to generate cash from tourists who are only to happy to pay big money to play with these once fierce beasts. It needs to be understood and quickly that these wild animals are not pets to rub and cuddle, to take selfies with or to use as a form of entertainment. These are tigers not teddy bears Dreamworld.
